The Enhanced Business Platinum® Card from American Express OPEN Reviews
If you’re a high spender who travels frequently for business and will take advantage of travel perks, it’s a great credit card for your business. However, if you don’t travel frequently or your spending isn’t quite high enough to justify the high annual fee, you’re likely better off with another option.
The real value of this card is not in its rewards, but in the Platinum travel benefits such as lounge access, concierge, Wi-Fi access, and the $200 annual airline fee credit for incidentals.
If you’re a first-time entrepreneur with limited experience running a business and a non-stellar credit profile, this is probably too much card for you to handle right now.
While the return on everyday spend isn’t noteworthy, the card offers a nice sign-up bonus and fantastic perks, which more than offset the annual fee, in my opinion.
There is a lot of great value one can get for their business, in the form of all its side-perks. If you're interested in purely saving money on every purchase, we recommend looking at other cash back and reward credit cards.
This card is ideal for the business traveler who purchases their airfare and hotel accommodations using a credit card, and who also likes luxury travel. This card will pay off well in rewards!
The American Express Business Platinum charge card offers great travel benefits and a colossal sign-up bonus, but prepare yourself to spend big to get the card’s full value.
As long as you use this card for business travel and other related purchases, the annual fee is tax deductible as a business expense.
For everyone else the American Express Business Platinum Card would be just an expensive status symbol.
The key is being sure you actually use the benefits that your Business Platinum Card offers, and to maximize them by being up-to-date on the perks and planning your travel accordingly.
